Daily free credits
Resets dailyDaily credits from your plan. They refresh on a fixed schedule so everyone gets a fair daily allowance.
- The amount you receive depends on your subscription tier (or free tier if you are not subscribed).
- They automatically reset to the full daily amount at midnight (UTC).
- Unused daily credits do not roll over to the next day.
- They are used first: we deduct from Daily before any other pool.
Monthly gifted credits
Resets monthlyMonthly credits from your subscription. They complement daily credits and refill when your billing period renews.
- The amount depends on your subscription tier.
- Annual plans may include extra bonus credits according to your plan.
- At the start of each new billing cycle, monthly credits will be reset to the maximum amount.

When colorizing a photo (web or API) costs a credit, we deduct in this order:

Do I have to subscribe monthly?
No. You can buy credit packs anytime without a recurring subscription. Subscriptions are optional if you want monthly gifted credits; purchased pack balances are separate and are not cleared when a subscription ends.
When does Pixomax deduct a credit?
A successful colorization uses 1 credit (base). On the single-image workbench you can enable Smart Damage Repair (+1 credit) and AI Clarity Boost (+2 credits). Previewing and downloading does not cost extra. Batch jobs and API calls follow the same base rule; add-ons apply when clean_scratches or face_remaster are enabled on the request.
Do purchased credits expire?
Pay-as-you-go credits you buy stay on your account until you use them. Daily free credits reset at UTC midnight; monthly subscription credits reset each billing cycle — see the credit rules section above.
Can I colorize many family photos at once?
Yes. Use batch mode to queue multiple scans, watch progress, and download a ZIP of every finished image. Each successful image uses at least 1 credit (base colorization), same as single mode without add-ons.
Is there a photo colorization API?
Yes. See API documentation for authentication, endpoints, and examples. Credits deduct automatically per successful API colorization — ideal for photo studios, genealogy tools, or internal automation.
How are free credits calculated?
Anonymous and signed-in quotas follow your app’s Monitor credit policy. Check in-app prompts and your credits page for current daily limits.
Can I cancel a subscription?
You can cancel according to our Terms of Service and keep using benefits through the end of the paid period. Pay-as-you-go packs are not subscriptions and do not auto-renew.
